What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website places on your device. They let it remember things like your sign-in and your preferences. Some of what we remember is kept in your browser's local storage instead, which works the same way from your point of view and is listed here too.
Essential cookies (always on)
These are needed for the site to work, so they do not need consent.
| Cookie | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Session | Keeps you signed in and remembers settings between pages | Up to a year, or until you sign out |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms from being submitted by other websites | Same as the session |
| remember_web_… | "Remember me" when you sign in | Until you sign out |
| df_discord_link | Confirms that linking your Discord finished in the browser that started it | 10 minutes |
| social_link_user | Finishes connecting Sign in with Apple to your account | 5 minutes |
| seller_locale | The language you chose in the seller dashboard | 5 years |
In local storage we keep your light or dark mode choice, your deal list layout, your cookie choice and, in the seller form, your language. None of it leaves your device.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which deals and pages are popular. It sets first-party
cookies whose names start with _ga, which last up to two years. We don't use advertising or
cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't sell what analytics tells us.
On this US site, analytics cookies are set when you visit. You can block or delete them in your browser at any time, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Retailer cookies
When you follow a deal link to a retailer such as Amazon.com, that retailer may set its own cookies to record that we referred you. Those cookies are set on the retailer's site, not ours, and are covered by the retailer's own privacy policy.
Managing cookies
You can also view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop sign-in and voting from working. For more on managing cookies, see allaboutcookies.org.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest revision. For anything about cookies, use our contact page. More about how we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy.
